Meet your Local MP - Gore

What can your local MP do for you?

As your local Member of Parliament, it is my privilege to represent you and the people of the Southland electorate in Parliament. I am here to ensure your views, issues, and concerns are heard in Parliament. While I meet a lot of people at functions, events, and activities in our electorate, you are very welcome to visit my offices in Queenstown, Gore and Alexandra. My roles include:

  • Helping people with issues relating to education, health, immigration and ACC.
  • Helping with queries to government departments such as Work and Income, Inland Revenue, Police and Housing New Zealand.
  • Helping people understand Government policies.
  • Acknowledging people celebrating milestones or achieving success.

  • Taking the views of our local communities and groups to Parliament when legislation is being developed.
  • Ensuring that politicians understand the impact of laws on our communities.
  • Providing information to people about how Parliament works.
  • Attending and participating in local events and functions.
  • Presenting the views of local people when conscience votes are debated in Parliament.

  • Supporting local causes and helping to advance them.
  • Representing community groups who want to contribute positive ideas to improve our country and community.
  • Work with local body representatives to meet your needs.

I look forward to meeting you on 5 October at my Gore Electorate office, 2.45pm.
